The Hidden Lore of NeoNindo
The Shadokai
and the Secret Inner Circle
The Shadokai is overseer of the silent council of NeoNindo — a secret order of initiates who have dedicated their lives to mastering not just the techniques of Bokudo, but the spiritual path of modern ninjutsu itself. These warriors serve as protectors, teachers, innovators, and successors for the clan. It is through the Shadokai that ranks are promoted, curriculum refined, and the ancient-modern fusion of NeoNindo is preserved.
Entry is not earned through flashy skills, but through discipline, contribution, loyalty, and alignment with the deeper code of the Nindo. This is an art of peace, love, respect and honor. The Shadokai carries the burden of leadership, the privilege of legacy, and the honor of sharing the secret ninja arts with you.
NeoNindo
The Way of the Modern Ninja
NeoNindo is a team of ninjas who aim to bring the ninjutsu experience to you— it is a way of life forged in discipline and silence. It blends ancient principles of ninjutsu with modern movement, meditation, and unbreakable community. This discipline was born in the hidden corners of New York, but its roots reach deep into the history of the samurai of Japan. The goal of the Neonin is to unveil the universal truths of mind, body, and spirit — bringing together cultures, and people from all walks of life with honor, integrity and respect
Students of NeoNindo train to become warriors not only in combat, but in character. Through battle meditation, Bokudo, parkour training, diverse weapon mastery, and the Nindo philosophy, they forge themselves into something adaptable, focused, honorable, and dangerous only when necessary. They become shinobi with the collective mission to bring the world of ninja and samurai sword arts to you in a way that’s never been done before.
Bokudo
Mastery of the Wooden Sword
Bokudo is the spiritual and technical heart of NeoNindo. It is the art of the bokken — the wooden sword — not as a placeholder for the katana, but as a weapon of mastery in its own right. Where other systems prepare the student to wield steel, Bokudo prepares the student to wield themselves.
Our sword style emphasizes presence, rhythm, breath, and intent. techniques for slicing have been hybridized into techniques of striking. Sparring is respectful but real. Every strike is a statement, every parry a lesson in control. From Zen-Bokudo’s meditative flow to live randori and battle circle training, Bokudo turns wood into wisdom — and warriors into guardians.
The Nindo
The Code. The Compass. The Hidden Curriculum.
The Nindo is the internal map every Neonin carries — a set of principles, philosophies, and disciplines designed to sharpen the mind, guide the spirit, and elevate the mission. It draws from ancient warrior texts, modern psychological insights, natural law, and the lived experience of the clan.
The Nindo teaches that true strength is not found in violence, but in discipline, sacrifice, humility, and clarity. Within its structure lie the 3 Necessities, the 5 Flags, the 7 Virtues, and more — each one a fragment of a larger truth: that to master yourself is to master the world.
The Nindo is designed to be a universal guide in all endeavors of life—Through sweat, stillness, and shared struggle, the warrior learns what it means to walk the hidden path.
