Why We Train Without Walls

NeoNindo isn’t bound to a building — and that’s by design.
We train under the sky, in the heartbeat of the city, surrounded by nature and ever-changing terrain. This freedom shapes warriors who are adaptable, aware, and deeply connected to their environment.

Our roaming training method sharpens real-world movement and awareness, introducing students to a living dojo — one that shifts with the seasons, challenges you with new ground, and connects you with the unseen tribes of the parallel disciplines of warrior decent: martial artists, parkour practitioners, swordfighters, rock climbers, and more.

Each training location is intentionally chosen — from the grassy hills of Summit Rock to the concrete cover of Riverside Parkour Park on rainy days. Together, they form a moving mandala of discovery, discipline, and tribe. outside. In the sun. In the rain. In the wind. On uneven terrain. With distractions, surprises, obstacles. Why?

Because the world won’t wait for you to be comfortable. A ninja adapts.

We don't just train in nature.
We train with nature.
Embodying the living dojo.

🌧️ Rain Training Protocol 🌧️

The Path of Storms

Rain does not cancel training. It transforms it.

On stormy days, we leave behind the open skies of Summit Rock and make the 30-minute trek to a hidden refuge:
Riverside Parkour Park, cloaked beneath the overhead architecture.

Sheltered by the concrete canopy, this urban location becomes our arena —
a place where water meets willpower, and only the committed remain.

“There is no such thing as bad weather, only deeper initiation.”

🗻 The Summit is Our Center 🗻

Summit Rock is more than a meeting place — it's the heart of our tribe.

Located at the highest natural point in Central Park, Summit Rock represents clarity, elevation, and perspective. From this peak, we train, gather, and then set out in all directions — north to the Great Hill, south to Rat Rock, west to Riverside Parkour Park, east to Arthur Ross Pinetum. It’s our compass, our home base, our starting point for exploration.

NeoNindo isn’t bound by walls or fixed routines. We move through Central Park like a pulse — adapting, flowing, learning from each new environment. But no matter where we go, we return to the Summit.

This centered approach symbolizes balance in motion — stillness within movement. It allows students to:

  • Navigate training terrain more confidently, knowing there’s always an anchor.

  • Explore different disciplines (weapon work, flow arts, parkour, meditation) in the places best suited for each.

  • Meet and connect with other tribes — martial artists, parkour athletes, sword fighters — strengthening our network and deepening our purpose.

To train with NeoNindo is to embrace adventure but to never be lost.
Because the Summit is always there — calling us back, keeping us grounded, reminding us of who we are and what we’re becoming.
